• Marietas Islands — snorkel the protected marine reserve and its famous Hidden Beach (permits arranged for you).
• Whale watching — humpbacks calve in the Bay of Banderas from December through March; private tours put you respectfully close.
• Sport fishing — mahi-mahi, tuna and marlin with seasoned local crews; your catch can be prepared by a private chef the same evening.
